Replacing my Pioneer 8600mp

I currently have a pioneer deh-8600mp. The right side knob has fallen off and it has the grounding/engine noise problem.

One of my friends has an Alpine cda-9813. But the face plate was stolen. I called alpine and it would be 70 bucks for the face. and he would give it to me for free.

I've been thinking about getting a new deck for a lil while now.

what do you guys think? is it going to be a good replacement for me?

I went from a 9815 to a 860 and I was blown away by the SQ improvement. Are you sure you need to downgrade?
