Replacing Front Speakers in 2002 Honda Odyssey

Going to replace the front speakers in my wife's Odyssey. The factory speakers are 6 3/4 for the door and factory tweets in the dash. What I think I wanted to do was just cut the tweets off and put some decent 6 3/4 coaxial in the door and get a little 2 or 4 channel amp to power them up. Would you guys go this route or put components back in it. The factory tweets look like they'd be a pain in the *** to get to and in my experience the new ones never fit without doing some modification. Or put new 6 3/4 mids in the doors and leave the tweets alone? They're not blown and they sound meh... I mean they're ok for what they are. Open to suggestions...
