Replacing factory HU

My wife has a 2006 Town and Country minivan. We have a dvd player and a drop down monitor installed. I want to install a Pioneer 5900IB HU. I wanted to make sure the sound comes out of the dvd player and goes into the cd player.

Also, there is engine whine when the parking lights are turned on. I want that sh|t gone! Any tips to help me with this install?

The monitor probably uses an FM modulator. If so, then you shouldn't have any problems with the new HU.
