Replacing DEH-3400 with DEH-3400UB, no install?

Hey guys, definitely a car audio newb here but I thought I'd come to the experts.

Simple question, I currently have the Pioneer DEH-3400 and am wondering if I pick up the DEH-3400UB if I can just switch faceplates, or if I have to install the whole unit.

I'm basically just switching because of the 1/8 audio jack, and I figured if any faceplates could switch, you'd think the model up would be the safest bet. But again, I know next to nothing and could use some advice.

Thanks, much appreciated in advance...

You will need to switch the whole unit, but this should be simple as the main harness and mounting baskets should be the same... Just disconnect the current one and slide it out of the basket, slide in the new one and plug it in - Done deal... I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure this will work & if it does it will be a very simple swap

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. Much appreciated...
