Replace Pre-Amp HU's with Amplified ones?

I have a 00 Maxima GLE with a factory BOSE system in it. The current clarion HU is pre-amp. If I want to put in an amplified HU, then would I have to replace the speakers, or would it work?

Also, do I have to buy and special type of mounting bracket or anything? or just rip out the old and plug in the new?
