Repair surround help?

So im sure you all know all about the dam drill bits slipping off the screw and popping a hole in the surround of the sub. Does anyone have any good methods of repairing the surround without actually reconing it? Like use rubber cement to patch it or something? Help. ca glue, silicone, caulk......usually done on the back side only depending upon how bad the tear is

Goop or any flexible type of adhesive should work. Try to do the repair on the backside if possible unless you aren't concerned with the appearance.

just minimize the usage to the hole only. if you use too much, that part will not flex as much, pulling the coil slightly to one side, and the coil will rub.
