removing sound deadener

Is there anyway to easily remove sound deadener from my car?
liquid or sheet? if sheet deadener, use a heat gun, it's better than trying to rip it off by force, by the way, why would you want to take it out? i doubt you can reuse it if you take it out...

Yeah it seems pointless to take it out. Unless it's applied badly or you need to take it out to service something in the car that's beneath it, I don't get why you'd need to take it out.

Hell, just throw some muratic acid and brake fluid on it too. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
lol, i wouldn't reccommend it...... smell like crap for months to come lol

yeah hydrochloric acid stinks and burns the nose holes. Acetone does work good and an ape to yank on it, and the new edead doesn't fall off, not in 100 degree days or any other time. Fully butyl based with a good strong adhesive. Maybe the old stuff was different.
