Removing my Pioneer head unit...

I have a 1998 Honda Civic and I have to remove the head unit from my car to check the connections in the back but the thing doesn't wanna come out...go figure... so I know I'm doing something wrong. I have no idea how to get it out. It's a Pioneer DEH-P7000R if that'll help anyone in answering... Any clues on how to remove the head unit?

Go down to your nearest car audio store and ask for a pair of keys for that radio and if they could pull it out. And if that does not SLIP one of the guys in the back a 5or a 10, either way it will come out.

Nevermind...unscrewed a screw behind the rear window defroster plug and popped out the front dashboard cover...undid a few springs and out it slid! See...the speakers aren't getting power so we figured that it was a wiring problem behind the head unit...but nooo...its all plugged in right. The guy that had the car before had some amps and a sub he stole so there is a problem between the head unit and the speakers that we have to figure out how to rewire... -perhaps- worth paying some dude 50-100$ for the work. :p
