Removing Door Panels

Ok here is my problem. I have a '99 Jeep Cherokee 2dr well it has manual everything so I have to roll the windows down myself. Well I'm trying to get the panel off so that I can deaden it and install new speakers but I cannot get it off. It is loose all around except for there. How do I go about getting the panel of?

its loose everywhere except what? the window handle? if so, there should be a clip in there you need to pop off with a screw driver (flat head), then the handle will come off

They sell a tool at Auto Zone for $4 or so, it pops the little clip right off, without messing it up like a screwdriver can.

You can buy it, and ask them to show you how it works, and they will take them off for you.

Thanks so much man. Yea I can feel where the window handle is through the hole for the speaker. So all I do is stick a flat head in there and pop it out? Sounds pretty simple.

I dont know what its called, but tell them what youre looking for, they will know exactly what it is.

If youre only going to need them off the one time, just go there and ask them to remove them......Auto Zone will do a lot of shit for you, for free.

your not going inside the door. the clip is just behind the handle (in front of the panel)

Yep. Sort of underneath the window crank..but on the outside of the panel.
