I see, and I have use the cig lighter and the wiper fuse. The only thing with the cig lighter is its always seeing 12v wheither the car is on or not. But it depends on the car, some cig lighers only come on with the key in a on position.

neither are a reliable source for 12v acc as they are designed to do other things and fused for that purpose and nothing else so adding another load no matter what it is will be a bad idea. Smartest ideas in this situation will be to get 12v acc from the radio harness or the ignition harness.
