check voltage at your cig lighter, and see if it has 12v when the key is on and off...if no voltage when key off, then use that as your 12v switched source

its a scosche loc-80 and it doesnt have a remote built in

Tap the windshield wiper fuse in your fuse box, its has power in all of the key's on positions. But only if your using one or two amps, after that you seriously need a relay. But everything suggested above will work too.

You can hook it up to anything that reads 12v while the key is on. But I highly recommend using an accessory wire (no 12v during crank) than an ignition wire.

why not power antenna? Just wondering because I no longer have a powered antenna but am thinking about using the power wire thats still there. Just wondering whats your reasoning.

because when you run a cd or tape!? you won't have sub stage...power antenna only has 12v when am/fm is on
