Alright so the last thing I need to do for my amp installation is to run my remote turn on wire, and I was about to order some fuse taps to do this (as i'm using my factory head unit with a LOC and do not have any remote turn on outs at the back) but I thought of something. Call me lazy, but would it work if I took an old cigarette lighter adapter (for a car 12v power socket), i.e. an old cell phone car charger, cut off the pin that is supposed to go into the cell phone, connect (splice) this wire to my remote turn on wire, tape it up, plug it into a 12v socket in my car, and then run it under my carpet or something to my amp? This seemed theoretically like it would work until I found a better solution (although a complete waste of a socket), but I wasn't sure if this would feed too much power through the remote wire to my amp or not:eyebrow: ..... any ideas?
Thanks in advance for the help.
