Remote wire question ?

Do i have to use the remote wire from my HU to my Amp ???

Or is that just an option?

IF i do need it...Is this how i do it??? (the blue wire marked "System remote Control" coming out of my HU needs to go directly to the remote input on my Amp ? )

Run it back to you're amp and hook it to the remote on terminal. Thats it.

The HU will send a signal through the wire that tells the amp to turn on or off.

How many blue wires does the HU have? One may be for the antenna and the other for the amp......The one for the antenna will active only when the FM/AM tuner is on. If you have only one the you're ok......From there to the amp......SWEET!

The remote terminal on your amplifier needs to get a 12v input for the amp to turn on. The system remote output on your head unit provides 12v whenever the head unit is turned on. No, you don't need to use that output, but it's generally the most practical way to make sure your amp comes on when your head unit comes on, and turns off when your head unit turns off.
