I drive a 1998 Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo, I have a stock head unit and am not looking to change it yet, so where should I put my remote wire for my after market amp?

should be red with a gray stripe

If you can't seem to find one check your cigarette lighter to see if it only comes on once the accessories are turned on. If so then you can use that.
