Major popping when turning on and off!

It sounds like a power surge running to the speakers when I turn ON the radio and or car and also when I turn OFF the radio and or the car. It's a quick very loud popping! What is this from? I have two amps grounded with a 4g to two 8g distribution block to a sanded portion on the floor door sil. The stereo is powered to the heated seat fuse in the fuse box under the hood.Its a total new install. Any ideas??

Why would you wire your amps to a heated seat fuse and not your battery with a secondary anl fus

The amps are running to the battery. I meant the head unit is running to the fuse box. Sorry

could be your headunit mine were doing the same thing among others and i changed my HU and it fixed everything. but your case might be simpler like bad ground or something. what is your remote wire hooked up to?

Remote is from head unit split to the two amps.

Just had this happen to me... It ended up being i had 2 strands from my + touching my remote spot on the amp.. Willing to bet thats ur problem too

i had this problem a few times.

one was a bad ground , re sanded and made a new ground to a better thicker piece of steel solved the popping.

second was when i wired in my volt meter few days ago. was a bad connection with the remote wire causing a constant pop from the subs.

How old is the Head Unit?

Check your connections make sure they are clean as stated without loose strands on + connection as well as the remote wiring.Connections at the battery,ground locations.I have experienced a bad connection at the battery that was a faulty fuse in general

You may try a different grounding point as well.This isnt in my opinion a solid grounding location that Id chosen for any install.That may be the culprit
