Remote Bad - How to fix the problem - only getting 4 volts

My remote is only getting 4 volts, the power and ground are fine. I wanna know how do i fix this, how do i make it work and get the full 10 or however much they said it needed????

i don't think it matters how many volts are going to the remote turn-on as long as it turns your amp on.

do your amps turn on?

also 10 volts is a lot of current for 18 gauge wire

what remote wire are you tied into? On my g/f's deck, the remote for the power antenna only put out for volts, but the actual remote put out 12

I guess i am supposed to switch the remote wire into another hole and plug it into the cd player, but it wont fit... Sigh, this stuff is stupid..... Get my subs and box in 3 days YEAH!!!! =] alpine type r wassuppppp

Remote is supposed to supply a constant 12volts and like .5 amps.

If your getting less, I would imagine you have a bad cable somewhere in the remote line, or its bad at your Hu.

A friend suggested that i put it into my fuse for the stereo, but i dunno how to hook it up there is no way of getting behind the fuse?

take out the stereo fuse under your steering wheel, stick the remote wire in the hole and put the fuse back in
