Rem.start install on a 06 Volvo S70

did a remote start/ keyless on a 04 volvo v70, wagon everything is working fine except for the fact it wont allow me to start the car with the key itself...

i had to use a universal key in box bypass. and allso the keysense need's to see a + pulse at time of remote start...

now the problem is. i belive the universal bypass is feeding back and the car is seeing to key's when you try to start with the key...

right now it remote starts fine, just that you have to rem. start it to drive away. if you where to try and start with the key it will not allow you to start the car...

im thinking it's either, feedback from the universal rem.start bypass or i need to diode isolate the key sence..

anyone got any input on this???

no s70 was made in 06.........s60 or c70 is maybe what you are talking about

im thinking it is seeing to key's when trying to start with the key... in the message center it display's starter disabled try again....

i had a similar issue on my 00 ranger, when i used a U bypass, it wouldnt let me start the truck but every couple times. problem ended up being the fact that i hooked up the pink ignition wire off of the bypass, because that makes it so that bypass is always activated when you remote start the car and drive away until you shut the car down, because some cars can only see one key. so that might be your issue.

the universal bypass im useing has 12v constant and - status output... so it's not activated while the rem.start is off...

the car is comeing in, in a few min so i will sit down and figure this out....

yes.. that was the problem... the bypass was activateing while you turn the key.. showing the car 2 key's and not allowing it to start.. unhooked ign wire, and it all works fine now...
