Rem. Start Install on 5 spd... help

just installed my clarion sr6000 2 way sec/rem.start/keyless on my 99 acura integra.

i installed a nutral safty switch so it only will start in nutral.... now my problem is the clutch ingage switch, i need to bypass that. i have to depress the clutch in order for the starter curcit to work. should i just bypass this clutch switch or is there another way around it???

directed just can out with a new bypass this season for manuals. i dont know the model number. but get that it works great from what i hear.

There are quite a few companies selling manual car starters and have been doing so for a while. Autostart and Compustar come to mind super quick. Without certainty I think you should be bypassing the clutch--so that when you are leaving the vehicle it has to remain running so that it enters reservation mode. Car will run for about 3-5 minutes after you park the car, pull up the emergency break and exit.

Wow. This is really easy. What you need to do it connect a relay to the (-) ignition output on your remote start. Connect the relay to both wires on the clutch switch, so that when it is activated by the remote start it bypasses the clutch switch (connects the two wires together). I have done this many times, but i have to say that you really need to have a fail proof Neutral safety switch. No matter how careful you are, it always seems like the car winds up driving down the street on its own.

that's what came to mind when i was installing it... just was going to see if there was another way...

i think i will do the relay.. the biggest thing is getting to and interfaceing to the clutch swith... it's in a really really hard place to get to..

Just keep it in gear when ya gonna start it....that always works
