REM Amp Wire....

no lol. the battery is always giving out a +12v signal. the point of the remote is to tell the amp to only turn on when the car is on, however that's not very useful when the remote is always getting a constant +12v signal.

the REM hooks into the blue/white wire on the back of your HU (it may be different, IDK, check the manual lol)

Yeah thats what i figured but my buddy was telling me that because someone put his headunit in and they tied the wires together really tight and he didn't want me to untie them to wire the REM to it. Thats how i have my car set-up. Directly to the headunit...thats what i figured. Thanks.

Yeah thats what i figured haha. But hes like dude you can do it i've seen it so i went here to ask. Sorry >

they tied the wires really tight? wtf lol

if you really don't want to run it from the back of the HU, i guess you could buy a small switch and run the REM through that but that's just a major PITA

I know haha yeah its honestly like heated up melted together they're so dumb, they should of used connecters and **** but they rigged it. My other problem i think im going to encounter is running the power wire through the rubber garment or fire wall, under the hood is so cramped i might try and run it through the door, any suggestions?

Well if he really wants to be redneck about it he can put a toggle on the REM wire from the battery and just turn it off when he kills the alt...worst idea ever, but it does work
