unless god speaks to me, or turns my diet mt. dew into wine, i'm not gonna believe. i've always said i don't believe in god and people ask me what do i believe in and i honestly don't know. i don't buy the crap that a monkey turns into a human. when we die we will just be unconscious. it'll be like before we were born and we will never know how we got here

exactly. bible is a collection of stories. people didn't have newspapers and shit like that, or sports so they wrote and talked about why they were here, and that got passed down as religion.

Even more to that...most of the old testament was written hundreds to thousands of years after it had happen. Want to know what that tells me? Its a big fish story.

Religion is mans way of controlling the masses. Its as simple as that. God may or may not exist, but not in the way that the bible, Koran, or any other man made religion states.

IMO, god exists in you. Your conscious is god. There is no "the God"...the good is in you. You chose to listen to it or not.

Im just saying... IF u dont follow the God inspired bible then u cannot be "saved" U can be a GREAT person and not know of jesus but just be sooo humble and stuff... that u can be saved u know. But yea, "U shall know them by their fruits"

If God is all loving, all knowing, and that then which nothing greater than can be concieved, I refuse to believe he is vain enough to select simply the people that do not worship him to burn forever in the firey pits of hell..

That notion is the most ridiculous thing about the Christian religion that there ever was.

I think that is the big turn off about atheism and other non-god based beliefs, there is no reward, no end. I , like many others, don't like to think when you die, that's it.

I dont just believe for that. I believe because through my studies of the Bible and God's teachings, I have developed the faith that God is real and that when I die, there is an afterlife.

Why does God care how you arrived at the reason for believing? If you believe and did the right thing and followed his will, why would he care 'the reason' you got there?

You are saying the Bible has been perfectly reproduced in the original form and is perfectly consistant all the way through?
What does it say on the cross above Jesus? It says different things because the authors wrote in different languages that don't all perfectly translate into english. Can you read hebrew, aramaic, and latin?
