that verse right there...its saying if you belive in your heart and confess with your mouth and all that...does that mean that you NEED that "prayer of salvation"??
Well, obviously you have to ask God to come in to your heart....

Here are a fex examples:

Imagine that we all have a throne on our hearts, we naturally put ourselves on that throne. We want to be the king, we want to rule and control our lives, but God calls us to step off of our thrones and put him on the thrown and make our lives Christ-centered and not self-centered.

Here is another cool example:

What if, one day, you were driving down the road and you saw Jesus hitchhiking...

So, you stop to pick him up. You pull up next to him, you lean over to open the door for him, you open the door, and he isn't there. You get confused for a second and then you hear a knock on your window. You look into your window and Jesus is standing there. Then he says, "I want to drive."

That is what Jesus wants, he wants to be the driver, he wants to be in control of our lives. So we have to basically tell God that we no longer want to be the ruler of our lives, but we want God to rule our lives. We want our lives to be centered around Him. Yes you do have to pray, but it is more about your actions, repentance. Does anyone know waht the word "repent" truly means?

It is true that close to 80% of the US consider themselves or claim to be Christians, however, only 6% say that they go to church and pray regularly. And I know not everyone that goes to church is truly a Christian, so I would say that maybe even less than 6% of our nation are truly Christians in my view. And going to a Christian church, and praying is not what makes you a Christian. Knowing God personally is what makes you a Christian, it is all about God's grace, not the works of man.

Uh, I know God but yet I dont go to church regularly. How you can say who is a true christian or not I dont know since you dont stand between me nor anyone else and God. You need to stop being so judgemental. The only person you can account for is yourself and that is it bro.

Call it what you want but do my sins make me any less of a believer then you? Did I ever once say or act better then anyone? I am human just as everyone else and yes I have weaknesses and I sin and I cuss and so on. I have never said one time that what I did was right but yet you call me a hypocrit for sinning and believing in Christ at the same time. I am not preaching to anyone but only trying to defend my beliefs so I dont see how you can call me the hipocrit.

I realize that every man is a sinner and that we all sin. However, no one on this forum knows you personally, so when you come on here and claim to be a Christian and start cussing, others will see this as hypocritical. At least you could try to control your language on the forum, that is all I am saying. I realize that every man is a sinner and that is why we need Christ.

Ae you a Catholilc? If so, I can see why you don't think it is wrong to cuss? If you are Catholic, how do you believe that you get to heaven? I am just curious.

example: cussing, i think its fine to cuss as long as you dont offend anyone that hears it and cause yourself to stumble. If you cussing offends someone around you, dont do it!! Also used in context, "dang...that ***** is huge!!" *points to a large female dog*. I mean they are just words.

I dont particularly like to cuss cuz i think there are better adj/v/n outhere.

I realize that Iam in no position to judge the hearts of man, but if you are a Christian, would you not want to go to church and pray regularly? Would you not want to go to church more to learn about God and what His word says?

Ever heard of the body of believers? Every sin that you commit is hurting to the body of Christ, therefore, if you cuss, which is a sin in the Bible, than it is hurting to the body of believers. Therefore, it is wrong to cuss.

Evolution is a theory based on scientific research, backed by years of experimental trials and hypotheses - I'm not saying it's right or perfect, but there's a difference between science and religion.

If you have read any of my posts you would know for certain I am not catholic but thats another can of worms. I know its wrong to cuss along with many other things. Just because I dont hide who I am does not make me a hypocrit.
