im looking for a single 12 inch sub thats gonna be real loud and have decent quality...and im not looking to drop much more than $300... and what tuning should my box be for the sub?

well just because its in the price range and i love it, I recomend the 12"idmax. It sounds great, built with superior quality, and get pretty darn loud for a single 12" sealed. If you do go that rought, maybe try 2.5@28-32hz.

Audioque HDC3 12. I own the 15 and have it tuned to 38. What kind of power you got though?

Audioque HDC312 and a 2200D from the same company. Little over 6, but well worth it. Eat some ramen for a few weeks.
