Ive always built my own computers, by picking out the parts, then ordering them and assembling them, but for my new computer, im wondering about just buying like a pre built computer, mabye an HP or gateway.

I was doing some research, and i think id have a tough time building one for the prices theyre selling it for.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif plus the one i was looking at came with a 19" widescreen LCD. I dont really need a great graphics card, just something

to play a few games stuff... i do want a REALLY fast processor, probly core 2 duo, and 2 GB ram... what do you think of just buying a compy in a box...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

Tigerdirect.com sells their own brand of computers which are already put together with all the good parts like on a custom build but a whole lot cheaper

If you can build you own do it, the experience is worth it. If anything goes wrong you know what you think it might be. Other than that get a built one since you don't seem to know to much about computers, the customer support is what yo need. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i build my own comps as well and have 4 amongst everyone in my house. I prefered custom built but its so hard to beat the prices that compaq and dell have now, they can just buy everything in bulk so cheap its cheaper then the prices to pay for individual parts

Lol how do you figure i dont know much about computers? i have built at least 10 computer in my days, for me and others... and they have always been great and worked fine. So i dont really need to build it for the experience:crap:

And BTW i dont need customer support... i am customer support.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

Then why not build one if you obviously know how? Look on other websites and build one kick ***, but very cheap....

man dont buy a built pc build your own jus get a good mobo and cheap out on the rest and eventually buy good stuff an amd dual core > intel core duo i think you should be slapped for even thinking about buying a comp and not building one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

i dunno -- i was just looking at costco today and for like 1000$ i could get what i wanted, plus a 19" LCD, but when i was shopping for parts a couple weeks ago, my total came up to like 1200$ no monitor. but now that i think about it, that was a better vid card, and no doubt better parts...
