Reg cab S10 boxes

They are re-useable if you put them on right and just dont foam around them like I did. you could also get some 16gauge bent steel to just snap right in there. Thats what I have and it makes swapping out boxes a breeze.

Been looking for a post on this. I am wanting to do something custom in my 99 S10 reg cab. I have two Kicker CVX 12's. I am pretty good at fabrication, have built dozens of boxes, and am getting better and better at fiberglass. I defintely dont want to do a blowthrough, as I need the bed for my Busa. I just installed some mid 90's S10 buckets, and plan on going to Cav seats soon. I am tall, so I was thinking of trying to build a wild fiberglass something with one sub just in front of the seats, partially under the dash. And one in the back in between the seats. With a console in between them and the amps behind the seats.

I just need to know what yall think, and if you know of any pics/links that could give me some ideas or inspiration. Thanks.

Yes sir.. The accordian boot got to epensive for me after a while.. I change my system up every other few months
Isn't the gap in between the cab and bed a 'flex point'? Wouldn't that metal being in there **** it up?

Did you make a full 'rectangle' or did you bolt it in like that?

It flexes a little but not much.. Its not like your gonna take it 4 wheeling or rock crawling. It maybe flexes at most 1/8th of an inch if even that.. Also its bolted in at the top and the sides have selft tappers through it and the seems where it comes together was welded up. Also once you put a box in there it wont flex that much if even at all.

i had a reg cab dakota and did 1 12 between the seats and i removed the console and put my amp on the floor and the sub between the seats. and i cut the hole to close to the bottom so the magnet was hitting the bottom piece so i had to get a couple of mdf rings to space it out
