You mean DVC?

DVC 4ohms can run either 2ohm or 8 ohm.

DVC 2ohms can run either 1ohm or 4ohm.

OK so i have what i believe is a JL W0 coming from my uncle for free. don't have the money to drop on anything big right now. I'm pretty sure it's 4 ohm SVC 125W RMS how should i wire it? I was thinking since it's such a low RMS wattage sub i should just get a 5 channel amp to run my components and the sub.

and there is only 1 way to run single coil subs

positive to positive and negative to negative

unless u r running 2 subs

svc 2 ohm = 2 ohm load

dvc 4 ohm/(2) svc 4 ohm = 2 or 8 ohm load

dvc 2ohm/(2) svc 2 ohm = 1 or 4 ohm load

edit: i was backwards on the DVC's, bahaha

(2) dvc 4ohm / (4) svc 4 ohm = 1 or 4 ohm load

(2) dvc 2ohm / (4) svc 2 ohm = 0.5, 2, or 8ohm load (someone may want ot check me on this one)
