So I'm new here. Not very saavy with wiring and such. I nearly took off my thumb replacing shocks in my own truck last week. But a few days ago I went and bought a 20 dollar stereo from Wal-Mart with Bluetooth and all those nice doodads. I have a 1994 Chevy C1500 pickup with a horribly cracked dash, and speakers from a TV surround system. I connected all the wires correctly. Joined them with crimps. It sounds okay, but whenever the Bass hits, or a song gets loud, the speakers cut out and pop. I have a wire going from the stereo itself all the way to the battery for the power since the power wire in the harness isn't working correctly. I wouldn't mind getting new speakers that can handle the high load, but I also don't want to break the bank.
Any ideas on what I could do?
Thanks!
