Just got quoted at $140.63 per 12" recone.......plus shipping.

$170.63 with basket.

I searched, and in threads as recent at May, the price was $100 plus shipping.

So, are there other options to get a pair of HC 12"s reconed?

I only paid $300 for the subs, I dont want to pay $300 for recones too.......//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif :crap:

yeah they just raised the recone prices.

way to go RE/US amps making friends //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Are they blown up now or just want to change impedance?

my next sub purchase will be absed on customer supprt/recone cost for sure.

mike from soundpslinter seems to be awesome..

TC sounds direct has good recone costs in a way considering msot of the subs only need to undo 4 screws, screw on a new top section and done. no glue, no muss/no fuss.

still need to buy the parts though...

RE even jacked up the price of the parts for the recone. If you friend was going to order the parts and recone your sub.. same price as above.

They basically do the recone free in house and only charge for parts.

Steel costs have risen up so i guess the cones and such must be raised too?

DD prices are still nice. $89 for a 9500 series recone kit. baskets are $20 each.
was checking out some blown 9900 on ebay...know price on them by chance? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the 9900 recones are insane. and you cannot buy them from DD. Unless you are very special, since you basically have to put the whole entire thing together yourself, you have to glue the spider to the former/cone to the former/etc...the 9900's are for pro's that know what they're doing, but the 9500's are easy drop in and glue.
