if a sub manufacturer states that their sub requires .7 cubic feet of airspace, does that include the amount of air space that the sub will take up itself? ie. the sub requires .7 ft.^3, but when placed in the box takes up .3 ft.^3. do i need a 1 ft.^3 box or is the .3 ft.^3 already figured into the .7 ft.^3 recommended by the manufacturer. i hope i didnt confuse anyone with that question, but i couldnt figure out a better way to ask it.

Usually i think they mean after sub displacement. So basically yes i think you would need a total of 1 cubic foot. Or at least that's what they mean at audiobahn. My bad after reading one of my back manuals its after speaker displacement. So building a .7 cubic foot box is fine... or at least for audiobahns measurments.
