My Chevelle will put your big block to sleep I'm sure, so your point is moot anyway.

This was a happy medium between my Civic which I have now (and is a snore) and a pretty much un-streetable '68 Chevelle.

Depends whats done to the chevelle. Motor ran a 12.08 when it was near stock. What alot of people dont know is that the Olds W-30 455 when you could get traction with it put all the other GM big blocks to sleep, hurt the shitrolet guys feelings bad. The 454ss chevelle was said to have the most horsepower, but buick, olds, and pontiac flagship musclecar engines had far more torque, which is what gets you moving. Pontiac was making more power with 1/5 less displacement as well.

Dont have any interest in new cars. Why would i buy a new car when i can buy an old car that gets me around more comfortably, is built tougher, better fuel mileage than new v8s, and will crush the **** out of anything i hit with it and still drive home? Plus leaves me more money to invest and spend on other nice things.

And for the record, chevys are for people who cant afford the nicer cars that GM sells or sold back then. Unfortunately pretty much theyve killed off all the nicer brands GM had, buick is going soon too.

I have a Kenwood KAC-729S amp (yes, I know it's old, but it was a great amp that MOVED any subs I ever threw at it) that I may be able to get repaired on the cheap (like, less than 50 bucks cheap). The question is, is it worth it ???? I'm not even sure what the ratings are, the guy that did the install on my Chevelle MANY years ago chose that amp.

And if so, what subs can I mate to it ????

Also the line driver, where does it go ???? And what voltage does it actually improve ????
