Recommend me some subs

I wanna get a new sub. I have a ed nine.1 for power. I want to get as loud as possible. It would be alright to have some sq but mostly i just want spl. I know theres the aq hd3, but do i need more power for that or is roughly 1300w enough. I don't really wanna do a kicker L7 because i currently have 2 12" kicker L5's. Should i just stick with the L5's or what do you guys think.

Yea everyone said L5's were shit but personally i like the sound over the hype r's. But right now i have them in a sealed box because i don't know if i would be able to fit a ported box in the trunk of my grand am. I might just give it a try. I would think around 5 cubes should be enough for 2 12" L5's or anyone have any box recommendations.

Yea i think i'll just port them to see if i like them, but i gotta wait for my nine.1 to come back from repair. If i end up gettin rid of the L5's i might look into a couple arsenals also i heard the new versions are supposed to be nice.

Thanks for the offer trevor but i'm gonna have to pass at the moment. I won't be buying real soon. I'm just gettin my options ready.

Hd3s are effient,but they do start to "perform" around 1500wrms and then become monsters round 2000.If u would like to just about 1000wrms look at the Aq sd2.5,one should get loud enough off that power.2-2.5 cubes@36-38 hz sounds good.

Yea i was thinkin i could get the Hd3 and then when i upgrade my alternator because, i think my current alternator is going bad, i can get a 2nd nine.1 and strap them and that should be enough power for the Hd3.
