Recommend me a Class D Amp....

If you thinking of running a sundown amp I would take a look at Atomic, they have a better warranty and they are the same amps.

Sundown can claim there not or they use better parts but this is not true. Half of the market goes to one company to have there amps made.

As for speakers Atomic been building speakers since 1946 and they are the oem for many speaker lines you guys like. Once again atomic for better warranty, less money, and have been around since 1946.

The funny thing is most of this other company's come and go over the years, also let's look at some of this old school names in car audio and see what they have become(a joke)

So before you run out and spend you hard earned money learn what you want before you buy.

Good amps still around making a real product in house!!! Every thing else is made in China or it's surrounding area

I would hope that the XXV line would be much better then the Brutus stuff.

I am actually hoping to audition some more DD stuff over my work's Christmas shutdown. The Digital Designs dealer is about 25 miles away and I have been emailing with him over the past couple of weeks.

Allow me to expand on what I said in another thread. One of my DJ friends is running a DD class d amp on a pair of 3510s and oddly, his setup was one where I could not tell the difference.

Not sure if you can hear it or not, the camera just can not pick it up.

My drummer buddy Loved the DD's and DD amp.

We swapped out a local guy a PA 2400 for a DDM2 and the quality was much better.

Oh really ?

Unless they have over a 2 year warranty and can beat our 5 year discount replacement plan I would say otherwise.

The only thing on their web-site about warranty says 1 year.

As far as Sundown going out of business or being "fly by night" - we are doing quite well, thanks. Over 2 years now and things are only growing so we aren't going anywhere for a while. We are, in fact, expanding nicely and starting to build our higher end speakers in-house.

where have you been if you think this. jacob has far better customer service than 95% of the companies selling car audio. atomic is a very good product but for you to say this is absurd.

Oddly, Sundown is one of the few amps that I have NEVER heard, but I would still not hesitate to purchase one of their products. I have dealt with Chris @ dB-r and I know that I would be in great hands if something were to go wrong with a Sundown Product.

I was actually thinking of purchasing a SAZ-3000D to run my pair of 1508s @ 2 ohms. Of course, I am really looking forward to hearing what the DD dealer has to offer. He has three setups that he wants me to hear and all of them involve different sub amps. I will also be very close to the Lunar manufacturer when I go to the DD dealer

Naturally, there are a couple scenarios that will totally keep me away from a Class D amp all together. If I can find another 25 to Life Punch 150 at a reasonable price, I am going to get it. I am NOT paying $275 or whatever that guy has them for BNIB on Ebay.... If my buddy decides to sell me another one of his Linear Power 5002s, I will buy one!
