recommend - 4 ch, 4 ohm, 100w/ch rms - around $200 new

Title is a mouthful but looking for recommendations - want four channel to drive 100w rms to each channel. Don't want crap but a mid-range amp. Going to drive from Kenwood 7100 nav unit to pioneer 720s. All recommendations appreciated!

I am working on buying an amp for the same speakers (Pioneer 720s) are there any other suggestions?

There isn't too many that I remember that do 100 watts at 4 ohms for under 200, other than Hifonics that may put out 100, maybe, never messed with their 4 channel amps. Maybe look into Autotek (sister company to Hifonics) maybe Profile amps will have some 4 channels that do 100 watts at 4 ohms. Thats all I can think of at this moment in time. Good luck.

If you can find one, the Xenon X100.4 would be a great choice.

Others to consider:

Crunch GP880.4 for a super tight budget

Infinity 7541a (I have this and it's a solid performer)

JBL PX300.4 mentioned above if you can swing the little bit extra

JBL GTO75.4II

Blaupunkt VA4100

Scour the classifieds section as well, there are always great deals on new and used amps.

The THD rating isn't going to mean squat until you start to see rating of about 3% or more. Most humans can't detect distortion coming from a speaker until it's in the 5-10% range anyway. Even a high-end HU will produce more THD that what you are looking for (Pionner 880PRS is 5% for the internal amp).
