Recommend 1 big amp to push 8 type r 10's

the only dif was the amp swap and the gp ran at .5 ohms nothing else changed, we were pretty surprised. the 3kd saz is a freak of nature lolz at 1 ohms it stomped it into the ground but for some reason the gp at .5 is a nasty inigma of power gobbling electronics. and .20 not 2.0 im on a ;laptop sorry lolz.

Hmm.. If the Crunch 3000 has a 2db increase in a direct swap, I might as well switch my amps and get a 4db increase? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

i just saw that he (sicaudio) was pusshing a 2k brutus instead of a AQ 2200 in another thread and to use his website. i think you are (sicaudio) misinforming ppl to make some cash //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif:greedy:

the aq2200 vs the 2kw brutus thread? lol i told him the aq was a stronger amp and would have better sq but that for his subs rms the 2kw brutus would be better and alot cheaper how is that misinformation?

at 1 ohm vs 1 ohm the 300d was quite bit louder but at .5 ohm it volt dropped and kept shutting down and the gp3000 still pushed it out by .2 db w/o going into protect. i even recall saying earlier to the op that the stetsom if he had the money would be a better choice, again? how is that misinforming anyone?

it was .2 not 2 and a 3000 cant stand upto a 3500 saz im not an idiot . the gp shows its worth on low voltage where other amps will shutoff or fry, as well as on extreme voltages where it really shines at low ohms ( such as .50 )

What were imp rises and voltage drops with these two?

At .5 starting ohmload, after rise, no reason the 3000D would shut off unless your voltage was dying. No disrespect meant, but cmon.

I dont believe the GP3000D Pro is more efficient, but for arguments sakes we'll say they are equally efficient.

Assuming the same efficiency and the fact that the Sundown shut down, the GP3000DPro didnt, that would be to say that the Sundown had less of a rise and was drawing too much power or that the GP3000DPro held the lower impedance better. Which is it?

Not meaning to be a dick, just trying to understand what is going on with this.

it was on a single 12 volt hc800 battery & the car wasnt on, in a real bench test i think the 3000d would put out more power, the board design on the gp3000 is very solid and does very close to 2900 rms on 11 volts but i think personally the 3000d shut down from undercurrent or it would have done better than the gp amp did. both amps were used as well and I didnt sell either amp, I was just doing the swap for the customer. if I could afford sundowns amps believe me I would run them in my own cars. but for what they do and how little they cost I am a cheap bastard so i run alot of hifonics stuff.

so you tell me, do they shut off on low voltage? It has been the only time I have ever had any experience with them, but I have read alot of good things about them and heard quite a few setups with them powering it. last sunday at an informal spl getup in fort collins a guy had 2 solox 18s on 4 of them and it was ungodly loud.
