It is a slightly modified Goliath, you are correct. It's not the Goliath you're thinking about though, it's actually a modified Goliath GX3000D, which as this link likes to show shares the same board as the VFL 200.1 from American Bass. It's not an extreme understatement and I'm willing to put money on the fact that the amplifier will not do anywhere near 4500 rms at 12volts, what's the bet? Once again, great bang for the buck amplifier, but NOT doing the kind of power you are claiming. If you are claiming that power as you're selling to customers you should reconsider the facts.the info I was given was that they did 2970 rms at 1 ohm on 11.7 volts iirc and just under 7kw at 16.xxx volts it is on the termpro forum with several references to many other benchings. i have seen the insides of both and have it on very good authority that it actually is a goliath with very slight changes. the goliath is rated at 5kw on 12+ volts so.... 3200 rms is an extreme understatement IMO i was told they do at least 3800+ on 14.6 volts.
Perhaps I'm ignorant - but I just cannot force myself to believe that. Anyways, good amp for the money and we'll leave it at that, sir //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifi never said 4500 at 12 volts lol i said 2900 at 11.7 but here is the actual quote from the guy that did the immpossibleMr world record breaking Eric Alexander himself:
Ok guys, here it is. Depending on your battery set up this amp will make an ungodly amount of power. With a 12volt battery set up dropping to 11.5 volts the Crunch GP3000D Pro made 2850 watts at a 1.03 ohm reactive. That's 4 12volt batteries. If you can get the voltage up the amp will make much more. By just starting the car and using the high amp alternator (starting at 16.1 volts and dropping to 12.3volts), the 3000 made 3732 watts. That's crazy isn't it. THAT'S NOTHING! I hooked it up to a 16volt battery set up and it just went crazy! With the battery voltage dropping to 15.7 volts with a 1.4 ohm reactive this monster made 4640 usable watts. NOW WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THAT
my numbers were off but not by much.
which is exactly why i say the numbers are accurate. FWIW ERIC broke 4 world records with 6 of those amps all in 1 day at the 07 world finals in 4 different classes all in the same van. he was also the first recipient of the alma gates honor on that same day.guy here runs one on an olympus 12 @ 2.6ish ohms after box rise at round 13.5 he has clamped it at doing 3300... Impressive if you ask me
the saz 3500 was out a year ago???I like I said can only go by what I have read from people that actually do meter them. I am however positive that it has alot more juice than a saz3500 side by side same install only the amp changed and the score was 2 db higher. that was about a year or so ago.
oh okay , but you are saying the GP 3k out peformed the SAZ 3k.saz3000 the saz3500 just barely came out must have been a typo
He's saying the GP3kd Pro was a 2+ DB increase, direct swap, for the SAZ3k.oh okay , but you are saying the GP 3k out peformed the SAZ 3k.
thats what i was thinking , the gp are good amps but i dont think they would stand up to a saz 3kHe's saying the GP3kd Pro was a 2+ DB increase, direct swap, for the SAZ3k.
And I'm calling bullshit unless the GP3kd Pro somehow had less rise or was wired lower, or had more voltage or something.
Same impedance same voltage. No, I'm sorry I just cannot see it. ESPECIALLY with a 2db increase.
