Reciever Stolen Help Pick New One!

Hey guys, Last saturday my sony ES cdx-mp450x MP3 Reciever (which I loved more than anything) was stolen outside my house, I forgot to lock my door and when I came out the next morning there where wires everywhere //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

anyways its time to pick out a new reciever and with all these new choices I need your guys help.

i am still contemplating on getting a DVD/MP3/CD Reciever off Ebay

and am wondering what you guys would recomend I get. My budget is around $800 retail (or crutchfield) about $500 on Ebay.

also if say I got a clarion dvd/cd player do I have to get a clarion LCD screen or are others compatable?

If not DVD I am thinking of just a mp3/cd reciever (I have to have MP3)

what do you think the best mp3 player is out there for the same budget ($800)

Id go with an alpine 7897 or a 7998, they are around 500 and 800 respectively, I have the 7897, and it is the best deck, and the 7998 is supposed to be even better
