I got a JBL 7.1 home theater system and I need to find a receiver to power it.. I wanted something that is maybe xm ready, has a timer, & an I-pod optional hookup. Any recommendations? Someone suggested the Onkyo TXSR603 however it doesn't have the ipod hookup and isn't xm ready. I can bend on ipod ready part b/c the ipod will probably be in the car a lot more than in the house.

When I was at best buy last, I only saw a few that were "XM Ready." Dude honestly, unless that thing has a built in tuner, all you need to do is get an Audio switcher and use the AUX in, Ipod and Sat radio can connect to it....done and done. Unless you want to fork out the extra scratch for those features but its probably going to cost you a pretty penny.

Are you using all 7 channels?? For real?

For the iPod just get a 1/8" cable to RCA and use one of the inputs in the receiver.

For that sat radio, do the same thing, but just use the a car one with a 1/8" jack on it, or with RCA's already on it.
