The Master at Work
If anyone read my last post about my sub, turns out one of the tinsel wires coming from the voice coil to the terminal had come loose; nothing a little solder (and a 1st degree burn on the ring finger) couldn't fix. That still leaves me with one twelve.
The other day, for $5, I got an Eclipse SVC 12; I already installed it, don't remember model numbers; it looks like the speaker was fixed at some point (There's this black stuff along part of the speaker; almost looks like it was caulk or some kind of heat-expanding filler). It runs 175W RMS and 350W Max, at 4ohms. I've got the CV 12 running in series at 4 ohms, and at 4 ohms the amp puts out 125W each channel.
It hits enough for me to know the bass is there, but it seriously lacks the hit it once had. Should I:
a) Buy new speakers altogether
b) Get 1 replacement CV 12 to have a set of two
c) Is there some way to tweak the setup for more desirable results?
