Rec. for a 12" low watt sub besides WX/ID/SWE

I have a JL JX 250/1 and a sealed dual 12" box laying around that I'm going to put in my wife's car (that I drive sometimes).

I need two 12's that take around 100-150 watts rms, either S2 or D4 coil. Can anyone recommend decent subs I can buy? I plan to keep this setup, I'm not trying to shatter my windshield or break the bank.

I've researched and looked into the ID12's, JL WX, and Alpine Type-E's. They're all around the appropriate wattage and price is $100 or under. I just wanted to see if there are others I should look into.

In a sealed box on that power, go with the ID 12s

are you putting subs in that sealed box you have for your wife ?????

or are you putting a box in your car? if so is it ported or sealed?

if so then dont go with sq as they like ported.

sounds like you need subs for a sealed box. whats the specs on it ?

I'd go with the IDs out of listed. Maybe see what Dayton has to offers also

The Alpine E's are cheaper than dirt and will do fine off 150 each. One of my friends ran them for a while, and they sounded nice in a sealed enclosure. The suspension is really loose

scott - the subs are for my wife's spare car, which I drive often. the box is sealed and it has about .55 cuft per chamber.

thanks, I actually have a Dayton HO 10" in my own car. I looked at all the Daytons and appears their subs start at 400 watts rms, i don't feel good about underpowering them by that amount.

i actually looked into these and are considering them, they're pretty cheap on onlinecarstereo.com. glad you recommended them.

No problem, my friend got them for a steal used. On that amount of power in a sealed prefab, they are a great option. Price is a plus too

Sealed..ID's. throw a little polly in though if you dont have another box option.

Yep, i have had great success with the ID series and you can get the coil configuration you want.
