Reasons for hot amp?

Set my gains with a DDM to 44.7. My amp is a MRP-M1000 ALpine amp birth sheet says 1150RMS. 2 Type R's 2 ohm version, its wired to 2 ohms. i have o ga wire running to the back and no big three.

3. Whats your Bass Boost at?

Are you getting major voltage spikes?

And uhh I run 1400 with no big three?

I have NO bass boost on.

you can only hold your hand on for about 10 seconds.

it drops to about 12.9 or so....idk how major that is

true true.. I only get bad drops when my roll my windows up or down... even with the subs on or off.. lulz but other than that i stay around 13.7-14.4 and 14.4 if im not idle

Ten seconds is kinda a long time. After about 20 minutes of playing I can only put my hand on my amp for about 2 seconds.

Will it damage the amp if it gets real hot. it has thermal protection so will that protect it

Yes... heat damages anything.. But thats why Alpine has those protecters but i wouldnt rely fully on those...

I don't know how hot it really is... but heats damages everything...Especially electronics.. try and pinpoint your problem.. Im willing to bet you have a shitty ground first of all....Are the center of the subs hot?

Check your ground. Bad grounds can lead to hot amps.
