I just bought the Phoenix Gold RSd 6.5 components

and now im lookin at the rear. i kno how everyone says its useless but i want some back there.

80W RMS. Those are the matchin rear RSd speakers.

the cheaper one is the Ryval series one. It is rated at 50W RMS

if the sound of the RSd 6x9s is going to be close to the Ryval, then I'd get those and save more money.

My friend got a pair of those RSD'S hooked up to a Sound Splinter amp. Boy was I surprised at the sound those things give off. They get VERY loud while sounding very clear. Definitely beat my CDT 61 A's on a Alpine amp....

Get these

oh yeah forgot to mention bout amp

i've got my mind set on the infinity 475a. it is rated at 75W RMS @ 4 ohms and 90@ 2

this will be the first time i've ever ran speakers without usin the HU amp

i want them to sound similar.

Just worry about the fronts for now. Give yourself a few months to get the front stage and imaging tuned in and blended (as well as get used to having only front stage+sub stage). If, after some time has passed, you still want rear fill, then go for it. After a few months, you might not like the way your speakers sound, so you'll have that much more money saved towards a new set.

im a fan of rear fill. i just pulled the coaxials out of the rear of my jeep and now im only running components up front and i can hear a difference.

not like an amzing difference or anything, but i plan on putting something back there again in the future.

should i get the 4 channel amp or just get a 2 channel
It depends

my head unit is not active capable. but im confused on how to run active.i dont get it. i even read the sticky
An active setup will be relatively louder but requres more amps. with an active setup you will need an amp for th midbass woofers as well as the tweeters. Since your hu does not have active capablites then you will need some type of electric crossover to seperate your frequencies. If you power a pair of comps with a passive crossover properly you will be ok.

just get your 4 chan amp. and go with the Phoenix Gold 6x9"s for the rear. it will sound fine, dont let this forum get you all confused with shit.
ha thanks man. im ordering the Ryval series for $38 and an infinity 4 channel for $150 tonight

The purpose of rear fill is just to even the amount sound around the cabin correct?

Eventually I need to buy something to replace my stock rear fill. Not sure what I want to do yet. Normally no one sits in the back but I'd like everything stock to be out and replaced with better quality and better sounding equipment.
