Rear Fill Idea? Help me finalize decision.

Ok I have a couple questions for rear fill in a 05 Nissan Titan KC.

Working on Matting my rear Doors and I need to finalize what I am doing for rear fill.

1) Kenwood Excelon Dual Mag Mid

I already have these from my component set, I blew a tweeter hence why I bought the DLS Iridiums. I would only be hooking up the midrage from the component set and using the crossover to filter high frequencies. The would be run off HU power, I probably would not hear them much. This is what I am leaning towards. I'm also considering buying a new amp for my iridiums as I would like a little mroe volume from them, I was looking at the JL 450/4, these ocul later be run off an amp in mono.

??? Is it ok to use the stock speaker wiring to run off HU Power for the rear fill? Running new wires to the rear doors is really hard on my Titan KC, it can be done, but I need to plan it out in my next order from Knukonceptz if I'm going to run new wires.

2) DLS Coaxils.

If I run these I will probably end up getting a new & seperate amp, and wiring some kind of relay to turn them on or off to the dash panel. Or I can simply run them off HU power so they won't be nearly as loud as the fronts. However When using my Cd Player in advanced mode, I fannot fade all the way to front due to using Time Alignment!.

3) XXX 6.5's not sure if these will fit though, Might require some custom work, I think I can get 4.5 inches of mounting depth pretty easily, I might be able to squeeze another 3/4 inch over that.

These would be run off my existing amp and I'd have to buy another amp for the fronts.

4) Or recomend another midbass to run off an amp that will fit properly.

I'd prefer to only have 2 amps, so getting coaxils would require a 3rd amp to run the relay. I do have a mounting location for a small amp but it adds dificulty to the install.

dude i have read almost every single oneo f the threads you have created and you always ask about rear fill...you know what the answer is. everyone doesnt recommend it. i didnt believe about the noise distortion when i first heard about no rear fill. and let me tell you. when i tried it out. i did not l;ike the rear fill. you can actually feel the 2 soundwaves fighting each other. not a good feeling. but if you must have it. i would recommend the dls coaxiles.

DLS coaxils would be my choice. In a small cabin I like no rear fill in a bigger cabin I cant really tell its there. Rear fill is mostly for monitors and movies to get the surroun soud feel

Well if youre worried about the passengers then yes its for them. Most people arent concerned with their passengers. I have rear fill for my son and the monitors in my truck

My THought was that I won't be able to hear much only cranking the HU to 3/4h volume so that what like 8-9 Watts RMS to each speaker. Vs 75-100 for the fronts. I highly doubt there will be a cancelation issue, they are also only about 4 feet from the front midranges.

I would just use the factory ones but they are 2 ohms so I have to have them wired in series, You can't really hear them at all with that litle power.

SO it's not a good idea to use the Dual Mags's Mid ONLY, but would be better to have coaxils if I must have my rear fill?

Correct

but would be better to have coaxils if I must have my rear fill?
Yes.

Especially if you want the music back there for the passengers. The stock speakers would be a better Idea rather than just a midbass driver. They want the full frequency range too ya know...

Well, I'm goign to order the DLS Coaxils I guess.

f I find them annoying I may run a relay switch to the filerbox to turn them on or off depending on passengers, playing music outside the truck etc.

Rear doors open 168 deg so it's perfect for listening to music outside the truck at the desert, and running them off the HU will hopefully save my battery also.

Now about that wiring question, if Running on HU power, is it really necessary to run new wires? It's a real pain but I can do it if it's really recomended.
