Rear Deck Subwoofers

If the back window is there, are you going to be able to put the subs in when it's done, or get a drill up in there to tighten it down?
good detail on the fan blades btw lol
Thanks

I was actually planning on the box being a drop-in... probably not likely, but in that case I would be able to drop the subs into the box then put it into the car.

dimensions on the box are as follows:

externally:

height: average of 20"

width: 36"

depth: 15.5"

which would be around 5.5 cubes, and i'm going to do a decent amount of bracing as well as a double baffle if i feel up to it.

as far as bracing goes, halfway through the width of the box i'm gonna put a vertical piece of MDF on the whole cross section, and then same thing with half way through the depth of the box, while still allowing clearance for subs.

anyway i just had a revalation and won't have to worry about a darn thing about the fans. thanks anyway guys!

Stick one of these in your trunk or real deck and you'll be golden -

Then in the winter he'd also have the heater blowing back there also, I don't know how cold it is in ohio but maybe 0 degrees wouldn't be too good to vent in from the outside to the trunk. Not sure. If it's 30 degrees though I don't think it'd matter. Unless you can somehow wire a heater in there. Now i'm just going way out there though.
well then in the winter just have the defrost on for the heater. i dont know bout you guys but i like it cold even in winter ill have the windows down in the middle of the winter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

wintertime is great for amps, because they are cold. electronics + cold = aweome

electronics + moisture = no good

thats all i have to say about that.

as far as the fans in the rear deck? dude. the box is sealed - the only problem you might face is those two fanholes will act like ports for your trunk, and your cab will try to **** air out of there to fill up the space the subs are displacing... so i dont think id do it. just put some fans blowing on the amps, and dont mount them on top of eachother //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Yeah something came up about of the amps....

i have one long amp, one short amp, and two medium sized amps....

all of them are 10.5" wide, lengths are 25" for the long, ~12.5 for the short, and ~17 for the other two...

so i'm gonna have a 42 inch wide amp rack that is 22 inches tall and at an angle and sitting up against the box, with 12cm fans on both sides for constant airflow.

yup.
