Nothing to see here
Well I finaly got the recone sent to the canadian RE dealer where I sent my sub a couple of months ago to be reconed.

He got the recone and thought that the trouble would be in the past once I got it reconed but now I dont know.

I just got off the phone with him like and hour ago.

He said that He got the new recone kit installed today and now just have to wait for the CA glue to dry. RE recomends 24 hours.

So I was happy to hear My sub is almost ready to send back to me.

Then he drops the ball. Says when he removed the old coil there was one part on the coil near the bottom that had been rubbing cause the coil was alittle damaged.

He said you would not have noticed it unless the sub was pushed to the max.

I asked him what could cause this and he said.

1) there is a problem with the alinement of the motor. But he said everything looked ok before he put the new coil in.

2) the coil was misalined from the begining when RE put it together.

My luck it will be the first one.

Is this nightmare ever going to end?

Somehow I think there is a higher power at work here trying to tell you that you are simply not meant to have an MT //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

You've had bad luck with this deal from the word "go", mang.....sorry to hear it's still not over...

Ya it really sucks.

alittle over 400 for the mt then 300 for the recone and It might not be usable.

Also he told me that he could not really test it cause he only had a 100w plate amp to use and that is not even going to get that mt to move.

So have to wait for him to ship it back to me. put it in my box and let it rip and see if I hear any noise.

If so I am going to throw it off the nearest bridge and get a APX 12"

Cause there is no way I am going to ship it back to re have them fix the motor and put a new coil in it.

That will cost another 300 plus and no focken way I am putting anymore money in this POS.

i would throw that mt into a river, cut your losses and go on, its just going to cause your more trouble.
I agree unless RE will fix the motor for me for free but even then I have to ship it back to them and more down time.

I will blast it to bits with my 12 gage if there is a problem and will post a vid of what I Think about RE if there is a problem.

I just hope the boys misalined the coil when they put it together in the first place and the new recone will fix the problem. but I have lost faith.
