Well I finaly got the recone sent to the canadian RE dealer where I sent my sub a couple of months ago to be reconed.
He got the recone and thought that the trouble would be in the past once I got it reconed but now I dont know.
I just got off the phone with him like and hour ago.
He said that He got the new recone kit installed today and now just have to wait for the CA glue to dry. RE recomends 24 hours.
So I was happy to hear My sub is almost ready to send back to me.
Then he drops the ball. Says when he removed the old coil there was one part on the coil near the bottom that had been rubbing cause the coil was alittle damaged.
He said you would not have noticed it unless the sub was pushed to the max.
I asked him what could cause this and he said.
1) there is a problem with the alinement of the motor. But he said everything looked ok before he put the new coil in.
2) the coil was misalined from the begining when RE put it together.
My luck it will be the first one.
Is this nightmare ever going to end?
