9500's are no where in the same league as a XXX. 2 completely different drivers.

I never said they couldn't do it. I said that it might not happen in your "daily" box. Just don't expect to drop the subs in an enclosure designed to be used with music and expect to pull a 150db right away. Might require the use of a "competition box". Big cone area and big power doesn't guaranty big numbers on the mic.

If you really want the XXX's, then either look for two used subs, or wait till November.

Ok, so can you guys give me some reccomendations on other drivers I should look at. Honestly, I really dont even care THAT much about SPL. I want a daily car thats loud as hell, that I could go to local competitions every now and then and put up some good numbers. Are the Type X's any good? I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on them. What about the RE Audio SX's? Brahmas?? DD's??

I talked to a guy that RE audio reccomended to call for an XXX, and he said that the SX's were pretty much the same thing, depending on how you install them....???

You said 50/50 The Mtx fits that bill. And the T2.

500 bucks. Well worth it.

And the SX is also no where near the XXX.

Oh and the type-x is more SQL, SQ oriented. It will not be as loud...

Does it have to be two 15s? If i were you I'd go with dual 12W7s... or one 13W7... or two 15 RL-Ps, two 15" Avalanches... etc.

My favorite would definately be the dual 12W7s though, I'd probably enjoy that more than the two 15 XXXs...

dude, i think we all pretty much know the 12W7's are a lot more than the XXX's. Why is nobody backing up the Brahmas....bad choice...??? Anyone know where to get a 15" titanium for cheap? I appreciate all your opinions, im not ruling any of them out, this is just a tough decision going from the 2 15 XXX's to something else...ya know

Try the Soundsplinter Rl-p15's I hear wonderful things about them.. THere is a comparo on this forum reviewing a Rl-p12 to an XXX 12...The guy that done the review sold the XXX if that means anything. I have never tried out RL-ps but I am about to. I owned a XXX12 and it was just amazing so I am hoping the RL-ps are as bad *** as everyone is raving...I believe they are worth a try.. I mean I tried the ED a and the XXX a couple years back based on rave of them on this forum and both were phenominal. So I am now hoping for the same results from the sound splinter RL-p....

The RLp's didnt look (according to the stats ) that they can handle 1600 I thought i saw 500-1000

Hes got 2 1600 Watt amps....you could run 2 SS RL-p's at full excursion off one of those.... I'd rather have a Brahma then an XXX...I'd say Avalanche....but 1600 watts is really pushin it for one of those...maybe if your very careful with the gains...they can get **** loud and sound amazing
