they are dual 4 ohm subs, 300 rms each. I need a mono amp that puts 600 rms out at 4 ohms or 1 ohm correct?

personally i would get something around 1k and strappable just so you have some headroom and if you decide to upgrade later ur set...

what do u mean strappable? just get a better amp and run it lower, but just have the extra for a future upgrade?

Some amps are capable of being strapped, basically dividing up the work between the 2 amps. The only disadvantage is when strapped they are usually only stable down to 2 ohms.

this- it will put out 750 at 1ohm, strappable, and pretty afordable...

strapping an amp, is when you basicly tie two of the same amps together to double the power, but with not as much load... one amp is a master (it has all tuning, signal input, etc...) the other is slave (it gets all the tuning, signal, etc from master).

as far as subs, i keep finding ones that i really like. what would u recommend best for spl and a tight budget: 2 Fi x12s/ 2 DC level 2/ or 2 DCONs

any other subs u guys have in mind shout em out!

dont have any expereince with the FI x's... so between the DCONS and the level 2's, on just an spl perspective... the DC's. IMO, the dcon is a better sounding sub.. but the DC can get louder
