I dont know that much about European pricing but maybe $7-8k Euros is cheap for a laptop over their. I know my next door neighbor supports his family by only buying products here and selling them in England.

i was thinking that too, but there are other laptops in th uk that equal out to reasonable US prices (600-1200$) and these all have the same high bid amound AND same high bidder

And all of those ridiculously high bids were placed by the same username. Odds are the seller is shilling to either (A) Abnormally raise the current bid to make more $$$ off of the listing or (B)The products weren't going to bring the prices the seller wanted so he's using shill tactics to raise the bids to an unnatural level to keep from having to sell them at a price he wasn't happy with (and to avoid having to pay the fee for using a reserve price)
Though if you consider average retail pricing ~ the last link you posted, which was a lot of 10 notebooks, that price really wasn't all that out-of-line. High for eBay but not terribly high altogether.
