Really confused HELP!!

Ok that's what one of my friends said to that it could be a bad RCA wire I'll try replacing that tomorrow and hopefully it works is there a specific kind that would be best? I've never really seen them sold outside of a wiring kit

So i got some new RCA wires and changed a couple settings and I think my sub is back to normal however I still think there's something not right because on my receiver if I turn the sub on or off it doesent make a difference and same thing with the sub system 1 and 2 there's no difference at all Foes anyone know why this could be?

You plugged the rcas into the front or rear output and not in the sub output on the head unit
