Well, more port area might help...Make sure you have everything set up right with the gain first.

48/52. What HU is it, Jensen? Don't run it at so high, you want to run the volume, max, at 3/4 volume. So for you that would be around 39/40. Take it from me, I blew my amp because I would run it at high volumes, like your doing.

Also, take off that bass boost. It loud now, but in a while you won't have any thing to get loud. Bass boost= slowly murders subs.

Set your gains with a DMM.

ouch 48/52...i dont turn my alpine above 23/24...and it can go up to 35...bass boost does ****...resety our gains like a normal intelligent person.

lawls i see everyone's stories about blowing up amps cuz gain too high and all... but to tell you the truth, before i came to this site, my gains and everything were to the max on my alpine amp... they still are (just now re-installed it, tweak time today) for the time being, and ive run it like that for over a year, and nothing bad. Im gonna say that some amps are more tempermantal, and some are just built like rocks. (GO ALPINE!)

I run my volume on my alpine at 35/35, no problems??????

Also, the port in dat box is ghey. Could be your problem.

yea its a jensen vm9510 headunit with the lcd screen, the problem is that if i take the bass boost on the amp all the way down it wont sound loud whatsoever and my gain will have to go up all the way to have it sound like its sounding now

omgg like what everyone is saying and suggesting bro, turn off BB and set your gains right with a DMM. If you dont want to listen, then hey, do what you want, dont come here making a thread, that your subs blew. Everyone up above is suggesting useful information, take advantage of it, and do it right.
