hey guys, Im pretty new here, and on this and other forums I always see people complaining about shipping companies, stuff being broken, or damaged usually. Well, I work at the UPS hub here in Maumee Ohio(suburb of toledo), one of the larger hubs in the country. I load the semi trucks. Anyway, quite frankly, people working there do not care about your packages. And its not them being assholes(not always though), its the job environment. In a night I scan and load about 1800 packages on average, thats about 360 per hour. On top of the pace, we have to worry about making good sturdy walls, checking the correct zip code, and getting screamed at our supervisors. So what I'm saying is, its not like were trying to break ****, its just that we don't have time to baby the packages. also sometimes even if everything is packed right, accidents do happen, packages can fall and get damaged, or have one fall ontop of another one.

So, just saying that 9/10 times no one is trying to break your ****. the other 1/10th, are just assholes:)

well, it seems as though people just get pissed off and seem to think that everyone there is just trying to break all their ****. when that is not the case at all

^^ I have no problem with what your saying and I understand it. The problem I have is with your claims department. I pay you $50 bucks to ship something plus buy insurance but when something goes wrong that insurance is useless cause they seem to wiggle out of eveything. So its like getting robbed. Cuase now I have a broken product plus I am out the OG $50 to ship and the extra few bucks for insurance. Hmmmmm dnt sound right to me

As I type this right now I have a package lost with the Feds.. Wanna know what they said?? Hmmm should get there sometime anything else I can help u with?? WTF is that.

yeah, management and hr and pretty much anything is just fvcked. they all **** eggs and they're all assholes(eh..most). but yeah, I mean it is a big business and i suppose to them at the end it does down to the mighty dollar

hmm....how about we start from the inside, higher ups. and watch the company crumble from having no big wig buttonholes telling everyone what to do. muahahaha

you got that that right. I sent a package out once with UPS and it was supposed to go to new jersey, but it was sent on a truck to Texas and then sent back to me, to ship it out again, because they didn't want to just send it there themselves from point a to point b, called a "change of address request" that they were supposed to do. Well, I got the package back at my place, and it was messed up pretty bad. Had the innards shooting out one of the sides. I called them and said I wanted it inspected before it was sent back out. They told me to take it to the local station to have it done. Well, behold.....it was in 3 pieces. Though it was insured, I was told to fix it myself and send it back out. So I did. I find out later I was charged for the trip for it going to Texas and back to me as well, so I went to the claims dept. And they said, they had to inspect it again in order to process the claim. Problem is.......it was already fixed and on its way to the owner(based on the initial recommendation of ups).

So, I was charged extra 118.06 for it being shipped across half the states, being damaged in the process and fixing it myself as well as shipping it back out on my own costs. I never payed that extra costs so they sent me a letter saying they were taking me to court. I called them up, and explained how that was a bad idea.....andc the whole process.......and haven't heard from them since.

That was my UPS experience. Since then, I use FedEx and have not had a single issue with them yet.

Not to mention that UPS has a 33% damage rating. Meaning for every 3 packages sent out, one of them is messed up somehow.

My UPS driver is very nice...gives my doggie a biscuit everytime he drops off my swag. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/boink.gif.91933e72f927f2cefc79aff02573090c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsup.gif.3287b36ca96645a13a43aff531f37f02.gif
